About The Museum Park East Umbrella Association
The Museum Park East Umbrella Association comprises three condominium towers; 233 East 13th Street, 1322 South Prairie Avenue and 1335 South Prairie Avenue along with 54 townhomes in a development bounded by Indiana Avenue on the west, 13th Street on the north, 14th Street on the south and the Metra tracks to the east.
The condominium towers and the townhomes, whose Associations are partners in the Umbrella, have their own Boards of Directors and management. The Umbrella Association is responsible for the common areas outside the boundaries of these properties including the parkway along 13th Street between Indiana and Prairie, Prairie between 13th and 14th Streets, the parkway along Indiana Avenue as well as the driveway court around 1322 South Prairie along with the sidewalks and adjacent parkway landscaping throughout.
Assessments paid to the Umbrella Association by the partners make up the Umbrella budget which is used to pay the water and sewer bills for the entire development, snow removal, landscape maintenance as well as waste and recycling services. The Umbrella also pays for the maintenance and administration of the Club House building at 1331 South Prairie Avenue which has an outdoor pool, fourth floor Party Room and third floor Game Room/Lounge. This community building also houses a market/cleaners in its first floor commercial space.
The Umbrella Association has a managing agent, Legum&Norman Midwest and a seven member Board of Directors. Each condominium tower sends two members and one member comes from the townhomes. More information contact the management office.
